Partnership with an innovative pharmaceutical company active in cell therapy
GENT — A leading pharmaceutical company active in cell therapy was looking for a specialized partner who could support them in the sterilization of a specific sub-volume of their medical devices. The technical implementation required specific knowledge, but the flow also had to be able to connect seamlessly with the customer’s existing processes. In short: how could we work together to provide a total efficient and validated sterilization solution?
Together with the client, we set to work developing a fully customized approach. This started with the development of a customized logistics flow, both for standard shipments and for urgent shipments where speed is crucial. At the same time, we worked on optimizing the reprocessing steps: we looked at which washing cycles and sterilization cycles were suitable for the materials in question, which types of packaging would work best within their chain, and how we could tailor the procedures to their quality and safety standards.
The focus? Complete peace of mind for the customer, with Sterima taking full responsibility for the sub-volume: from collection at the customer’s premises to delivery of the sterilized material, without any impact on the continuity of the customer’s production process.
To successfully complete this project, Sterima invested in expanding its own infrastructure. Our existing production environment was expanded to include a tensile strength testing machine and bag sealers that are used exclusively for this project. Each device was tested and validated in accordance with the customer validation requirements.
